Antichità Berti was born in 1956 from the will and passion of Luciano Berti. Initially it was a shop where antique furniture was restored but starting in 1987, the shop in Via Romana 76 / r, a street in the San Frediano district a step away from Piazza Pitti and Piazza Santo Spirito, is transformed. The arrival of Simone changes the shop. Start trading and retailing.

Simone Berti starts working in his father Luciano’s workshop as a restorer and it is this experience of restoring antique furniture that will be essential to understand all the secrets of this wonderful work.

Simultaneously with the restoration work, Simone attends markets, exhibitions, starts traveling around Europe. His passion and dedication will quickly transform the restoration workshop into an antique shop, still today this passion leads him to travel all over Europe to find furniture, objects, paintings and everything that has an original character and is really beautiful, ancient and fascinating.
